How Caple lies in the heart of the magnificent Wye Valley countryside. It is exceptionally well placed on the borders of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Wales to give easy access to many places of interest. Junction 3 of the M50 motorway is 4 miles away. The Malvern Hills, The Royal Forest of Dean, The Cotswolds, The Welsh Marches, Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons National Park, Cheltenham, Monmouth, Ludlow, Stratford-on-Avon, Tewkesbury and the three cathedral cities of Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester are all within easy reach for a day-visit by car.

Walkers staying in the cottages are specially catered for and we supply a package of suggested routes, as well as maps and plenty of local information in the well stocked cottage libraries.

The Wye Valley Walk crosses through the village 400 yards below Garraway House. Golf, bicycle hire and fishing can all be found locally. The designed cycle trackways in The Forest of Dean provide safe cycling for youngsters.
